This notice explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or send a request, for what purpose and on what basis. In principle you can use our website without giving us any personal data.

2. Hosting, encryption and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO AG (Berlin), with which we have a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The connection is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). On every visit the server temporarily stores technical data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system. We draw no conclusions about you from it; the data serves delivery of the pages, stability and defence against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Contact and quote requests

You can contact us by email, phone or via the request form. The form opens your email app with the details filled in; the data is not transmitted to a server of this website. We use the details in the email you send (name, company, email, transport details, addresses, weight) only to answer your request and to carry out pre-contractual measures. Ordinary email is not end-to-end encrypted.

4. Price calculator and postal codes

For distance calculation we use the Nominatim service of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom). The country, postal code and city you enter are transmitted, together with your IP address, but only if you have accepted the map service in the cookie banner. The full address (street and number) is not transmitted. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, with effect for the future. Without consent, or without a postal code/city, nothing is transmitted. The EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

5. Cookies, local storage and fonts

We do not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies and no services such as Google Analytics or advertising networks. In your browser (localStorage) we only store your cookie choice, which is technically necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG). Fonts and libraries are hosted locally, with no connection to Google or to content delivery networks. The administration area, accessible only to staff, uses a session cookie.

6. Legal bases

We process personal data on these bases: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), e.g. for the map service; contract or pre-contractual measures (lit. b), e.g. for your request or a transport order; legal obligation (lit. c), e.g. tax and commercial retention duties; legitimate interest (lit. f), e.g. for the secure operation of the website.

7. Legitimate interests

Where we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of this website and the efficient handling of business enquiries.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete enquiries once they are handled, unless a business relationship arises. Statutory retention periods apply to business letters and accounting records (currently 6 and 10 years under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO); afterwards the data is deleted or blocked. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short time. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you delete it.

9. Recipients

Recipients of your data are only the service providers named above within their tasks: the hosting provider STRATO AG, your or our email provider when you send a request and, only with your consent, the OpenStreetMap Foundation. No further disclosure to third parties takes place.

10. Obligation to provide data

You can use the website without giving personal data. For a request we need at least your contact details and the transport details; without them we cannot answer. For a transport order, certain details are also required by law or by contract.

11. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR) to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Simply write to dispo@bormannaircargo.de; access is free of charge. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Wiesbaden.

12. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
